About me
Hi, I'm Arun.
Thinker. Builder. Strategist.
I work at the intersection of strategy, operations, and people — figuring out how organisations grow with intention rather than by accident. Over the years I've had the privilege of working on problems that span market expansion, operational design, and building teams that do great work.
But I'm also deeply curious about things outside of work: why people make the decisions they do, what it means to live a good life, and how ideas from wildly different fields turn out to illuminate each other in unexpected ways.
This site is where I write about both — the professional and the personal, without pretending they're separate.
What I believe
- Clarity over cleverness A simple truth beats a sophisticated-sounding half-truth every time.
- Slow down to speed up The best decisions are made deliberately. Rushed thinking creates rework.
- Questions over answers Asking the right question is usually harder — and more valuable — than having the right answer.
- People make the work Strategy is made of spreadsheets; execution is made of humans. Never confuse the two.
- Depth over breadth A few things understood well is worth more than many things understood superficially.
- Writing as thinking I write to understand, not to perform. If it's useful to others, that's a bonus.

Outside of work
When I'm not thinking about work, I'm usually reading (history, philosophy, and the occasional novel), cooking something that takes longer than it should, or going on long walks with no destination in mind. I believe strongly in the restorative power of doing nothing in particular.
I'm also an amateur at several things I'm genuinely trying to get better at — which keeps the ego in check.
